Lagos has a great variety of restaurants, from quality traditional cuisine options to some more creative and international places. Here’s a selection of places to eat in Lagos that we ourselves visit and are always happy to recommend to our guests.

Traditional Portuguese cuisine at it’s best, they specialize in seafood and local meat dishes. Every Sunday they serve a special seafood rice that is absolutely delicious.

A Barrigada

All you can eat Portuguese grill house set next to the Lagos fishing harbour. They do a variety of grilled fish and meats, but their most popular option is the all you can eat fish platter.

Pizza do Frances

Whenever we feel like pizza, this place gets mentioned. Stone oven pizzas with delicious toppings and a cozy atmosphere.

Mexican dinner

The Greenroom

Mexican restaurant with a beat. This place has great food and a great atmosphere for a few drinks also.

Octopus Dish

Taska do Kiko

Portuguese tapas and wine near the harbour. This is a great date night spot that showcases Portuguese cuisine in smaller tapas like dishes that can be paired with amazing wine.

Fine dining on the Lagos Marina waterfront at its best. Amazing international cuisine and the perfect spot for a romantic or special occasion.

Places to Enjoy a Drink

After a day of activities and exploring, treat yourself to some drinks watching the sun go down. There are so many options of bars in Lagos that it can be a bit overwhelming, so here are a few of our favourites that are perfect to have a couple of drinks, chat and relax.

Enjoy one of their amazing cocktails whilst looking over the Lagos Marina. They have it all, perfect location, quality drinks, delicious lunch options and great music.

Pearl Food Trailer

These guys set up a little food trailer right on the water front and serve locally sourced oysters and sparkling wine. It’s a great location to watch the sun set over the town whilst watching the boats return to harbour for the night.

This is actually a fine dining restaurant that has an upstairs cocktail bar with amazing and affordable cocktails. Its located right in the city center and a perfect spot for after dinner drinks.
